Re: Jae Crowder trade request
We have way bigger problems than losers on a 10 day. We need players 1-15 to be better
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
1-13, we don’t have a 15th player and our 14th player is Jae…though I guess you could’ve been counting the 2-way guys as 15 man roster guys.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
It's more nonsense. "Acclimated?" What is this, rocket science? We're at 102 points per 100 during this losing streak. That's abysmal. We're struggling to crack 100 points per game. Our current rotation has 1 player that can consistently create offense for himself, and he's a 2-way player. Get the best unaffiliated offensive creator in the GLeague here and I guarantee he'd have some function.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 1:21 pmHe's not wrong in this case. Yea it's an extra body, but with little practice time during the season and most likely some GLeague type, you're not looking at much impact.Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 10:13 amAlso I saw that apparently Tom Leander interviewed James Jones about the open roster spot and he said it would stay open until the Crowder trade…also said he isn’t interested in 10 days because it takes 5 days to get acclimated to the team. 2 10 days though still gives you 15 days of play. That would help.
We're just punting games right now trying to run this .5 offense with NBA minimum guys.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Or just go grab Kemba…you telling me a 12 year nba pg can’t hold the fort down a little bit for you while all your pg’s are hurt?
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Too bad we don't have a GLeague team we could use.Shabazz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 1:50 pmIt's more nonsense. "Acclimated?" What is this, rocket science? Love, Hurts.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Ya that should have been the follow up to JJ….ask him, we’ll wouldn’t that be the benefit of having a g league team that runs a similar system? You can bring in your g league pg on a 10 day

It's more likely he'd be added to the injury list than hold down the fort.

Ayton is not being traded this season.

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I don't think Kemba is the answer.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
I think we can all acknowledge there’s no “answer” available on a 10 day contract. It’s also ridiculous to not bring in some short term reinforcements when we have 8 inured players for the sake of some specious notion of chemistry.
When Bryce Harper gets injured the Phillies call up a player from the minors to replace him. That player is not going to replace Bryce’s production, but it also allows the team not to have to move a pitcher into right field.

This is a Sarver thing and I hope the Ishbia bros actually put resources into development.

IINM he'd have to approve any trade too.
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Ya I don’t think he’s rejecting them…I think he’s prefer to move on too
Re: Jae Crowder trade request
How about explaining why he ran the team into the ground while refusing to bring in any help via the open roster spot or a Crowder trade?!Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:02 pmI’ll say that adding to the Jae trade calculus would be JJ having to explain to a new owner why he made a marginal trade for short term benefit, or traded away a first rounder, or didn’t look to take back one.
Crowder is a role player on an expiring contract who is SITTING AT HOME. I don't think Jones is going to get held to the fire by Ishbia for what he gets back in a trade.

People, we are relying on a 2-way player to be a key offensive player for us. Shamet, Saric, and Ish are playing significant minutes.
What are we doing here?

Re: Jae Crowder trade request
Yeah that’s definitely our take as fans. He will be gone by the deadline. But I think any new owner would rather have as many assets as possible for the start of the offseason as opposed to a short sighted move to simply lose in the second round.INFORMER wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 11:05 amHow about explaining why he ran the team into the ground while refusing to bring in any help via the open roster spot or a Crowder trade?!Drewsprocket wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:02 pmI’ll say that adding to the Jae trade calculus would be JJ having to explain to a new owner why he made a marginal trade for short term benefit, or traded away a first rounder, or didn’t look to take back one.
