You’re right, I don’t think it’s a coincidence
Re: Western Conference Round 1, Game 2: Clippers (1-0) @ Suns (0-1), Tues 4/18/23
I'm not sure I really agree with this. This seems to be a league problem. Why would they want to continue this narrative and invite these posts EVERY time Foster gets assigned to a CP3 game in the playoffs?Uncle_Gene wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 4:05 pmAt this point Suns just got to play through it.
If they would have won game one then this wouldn't even matter.
I would bet that all the other teams are insisting that the league doesn't treat this any different, but that kind of proves the point. Why would anyone be against Foster being assigned to the game, if they are playing the Suns? If I was playing the Suns, I would welcome Foster being assigned, because there is obviously something to this. The thought that it could be a coincidence has to be astronomically high. Sure, there is nothing that can be done today, but how does this keep happening without the league intervening?

I did a little research on this.
CP3's record in the playoffs since 2014 in games that Foster doesn't ref in is 56-33. What are the odds that he would be 0-14 with Foster reffing?
Anyone is welcomed to correct me on this, if I got this wrong.

Sup fellas
Had to take my time posting and I changed my mind a few so not really gonna say as much
I clearly took too long to post in the Game1 Thread cause I seen that's turn into the buyer's remorse stuff.....
Torrey starting was fine, in the last regular season game I was surprised how easily Kawhi overpowered Josh for comfortable looks. In Game1 he was making tough shots, guy is just a machine
Either way Torrey did well and fortunately or unfortunately the Clippers game plan is not gonna change so he has to score again tonight. Can't expect another 9-12 shooting but I just don't see Lue changing from their drop scheme. Zubac is just sitting in the key so DA gonna have those middies and it was a decent adjustment to make Torrey the screener and obviously he did well knocking down the jumper or finishing at the basket
For me, Josh would not do as well in those short roll as Torrey ended the season shooting much better including the corner 3. Like others said though, regardless of starter Okogie has to play more
So yeah Lue is gonna have Zubac just sitting in the key and when KD the primary ball handler it's a trap forcing to the sidelines. We know KD gonna make the right play (worked for 11dimes) but 6mins left and 1pt game we surely needed to have more wrinkles
I not even sure what we gonna do different tonight to get him more looks. Clippers not gonna let him play 1v1. They stole a game and gonna stick to their strategy that the others have to beat them. DA gonna have to be on that Pelicans type efficiency from last year and obviously when he makes the extra pass out of the short roll, Torrey/Josh/Ross whoever in the corner has to make some plays

Most might not agree with this take
Some who pay attention to my post know it's something I always mentioning
but is what it is
Book was 100% fired up and he played possessed out there as his 4stls/4blks shows but man I still get bothered by the energy he gives the refs. Honestly, watching the opening weekend I really can't remember many complaining more than him.....
He still let's the physical play take him off his game some. Even that foul against Russ was Russ trying to bully him and he got caught up in that made the silly reach in
I doubt it's only me that be with fingers crossed like Book plz don't commit a dumb overly aggressive foul or compound a no call with bad turnover and so on
Just wish I was 100% sure he not gonna lose his head at any point tonight

Either way, Let's Go Suns

Lol I knew from his postgame comments Monty would be too stubborn to change back to Okogie.

Let’s see if he’s too stubborn to cut Shamet’s minutes and sit Ish completely. I also assume we’ll see Jock instead of Biz, but I’m not positive.

Here's a fun game I just made up. Let's see how many guys combined counting stats exceeds their 2022-23 salary. Minimum of 16 minutes played to be eligible.
Game 1, for example.
Durant: 26pt, 11ast, 9reb, 1stl, 2blk for a total of 49, which is more than his $43M salary. Pass
Booker: 37, $34M. Pass
Ayton: 25, $31M. Fail
Paul: 30, $28M. Pass
Craig: 28, $5M. Pass
Shamet: 7, $9M. Fail

100% a must-win game for the Suns and we really need to do it in emphatic fashion in my opinion, so we go into LA with momentum. Clippers would feel good if they get out 1-1 with a scrappy Suns win. (They’ll probably feel ok regardless but let’s try to see some real doubt ideally)

Better energy to start…now stop turning it over and don’t leave EG wide open for 3

Better early, Ayton with a bad TO and I think Russ is in KDs head a bit. Can't keep trading 3s and 2s though.
Love, Hurts.
