Re: All Things Ayton
I'd have traded DA and tried a reset with Monty. Nurk, Allen and Little could've all seamlessly fit into that offense. Getting EG would've been gravy. We still would've had some physical/athletic limitations tho unless we beefed up the frontcourt. And I don't think any of us wanted another season of CP and Landry.
Re: All Things Ayton
Who knows…. Maybe Vogel and Monty both get shit canned and we get Monty back. We were winning more games with Monty at least.
Re: All Things Ayton
Sometimes I think you have to be trolling..heart, passion, and energy? Those were some of Ayton’s biggest issues. He’d fit right in with our abysmal transition defense right now. We might even not notice his classic, find the slowest guy to guard in transition so he doesn’t have to run back.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 9:53 amIt’s funny how biased and selective y’alls memories are.TOO wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 9:47 amLooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
Re: All Things Ayton
Ya I get that Beal hasn’t been healthy, but undoing the CP3/Shamet for Beal/Goodwin deal is crazy to me. We don’t want CP3 on this team and Shamet was worse than Yuta and KBD. Goodwin has been awesome. I wouldn’t trade Goodwin for CP3 right now. Beal will get healthy.ShelC wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 10:37 amI'd have traded DA and tried a reset with Monty. Again, it’s because you’re selectively remembering the minority of games where he didn’t have the level of energy that you expected.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 11:18 amSometimes I think you have to be trolling..heart, passion, and energy? No I’m not, it was a regular occurrence. You’re selectively remembering the few times he did play with heart and energy.JeremyG wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 11:22 amAgain, it’s because you’re selectively remembering the minority of games where he didn’t have the level of energy that you expected.Split T wrote: ↑Sat Dec 16, 2023 11:18 amSometimes I think you have to be trolling..heart, passion, and energy? Pick 5 random game samples from his time here, you’ll find multiple people complaining about his energy in multiple games.

You think if he didn’t get it then that he’s going to get it now? It’s obvious to everyone accept one man.

Re: All Things Ayton
I’m in it now, here’s some stats:
Per-100
Nurkic is 21.9/17.2/6.7/1.7/2.0 with a .553 TS%
Ayton is 20.4/16.7/2.3/1.9/1.2 with a .596 TS%
Both are contesting just over 7 fga per game inside 6 feet. Ayton is giving up 60% shooting and Nurk is giving up 54% shooting.
The suns are +7 with Nurkic on the court and he has a +15 net rating(they are -8 with him off).
Blazers are -11 with Ayton on the court and he has a -8.5 net rating(they are only -2.5 when Ayton sits).
If you want Ayton’s on/off from last year, they were -1.6 with him on and +5.2 with him off for a -6.8 net rating.
Do we need to keep going? Should I bring up Grayson Allen? He’s giving us 12/4/3 in 50/48/90 shooting…a .671 TS%. We also have Nassir Little who’s got a .620 TS%
There’s zero defense for Ayton anymore. You have to flat out lie to defend him at this point as a better option for us. It’s so blatantly obvious Nurk is better. Ok I’m done for awhile…hopefully for good.

Re: All Things Ayton
Funny part is… all it would take is just admitting they see the flaws now. I don’t get this whole pride thing and to die on that hill over Ayton. The even funnier part is; WE WERE ALL WRONG ABOUT HIM (mostly)! Some of us saw it sooner than others, but 99% saw the light. I like data… and the data don’t lie, aytons not a max C.

If even Nurk is playing that well on this team under Vogel, imagine how great Ayton would be.
