It'd be more understandable if the offense was lacking but the defense was good but when both are terrible and Vogel is the defensive guru and this is the level of play then it's on the coach at this point.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:56 pmHe should be.The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:52 pmVogel's going to be out of a job if this shit continues.
Rather it’s his fault. Or it’s his fault for not holding them accountable.

That's enough for me for a while.

This team is going to get embarrassed on Christmas day. Embarrassed. The memes will flow. I don't care how healthy this team gets, I just don't see it mattering unless there is a coaching change. To get absolutely crushed from the 2nd quarter on by a dreadful Blazers team is laughable.
Everyone is going to laugh at Booker and KD, and they deserve every single chuckle.

We have zero offensive identity. We just barely initiate our “offense” with 16 seconds coming across half court.djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:08 pmIt'd be more understandable if the offense was lacking but the defense was good but when both are terrible and Vogel is the defensive guru and this is the level of play then it's on the coach at this point.specialsauce wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:56 pmHe should be.The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 9:52 pmVogel's going to be out of a job if this shit continues.

We have no clue what we’re doing on D. We’re sloppy.
Either shake the roster up or fire the staff. This team is not even close to contending even with Beal.

Also, for all the shit this fanbase gives Luka, that's who Booker wants to be now, and it's not working. The show is his and this team is a disorganized mess on offense.
Love, Hurts.

Maybe it’s dramatic but if we dip under 500 I think that’s curtains for Vogel.

This team is so damn frustrating.

Fire James Jones. Hire Bob Myers. Start this shit now so don’t have to compete with other teams for him.

We finally play good D for a possession and Simons hits a miracle shot to just about seal it.

I was so excited for this team and this year. And I understand injuries and an all new team having to learn each other and gel. And I am really trying to be patient but this is getting ridiculous. We have seen some flashes but not enough. I also understand having cold stretches where your shot isn't falling but that should be the exception not the rule. I keep waiting for that switch to click and things to ignite. But I'm getting the feeling its going to burn down instead of launching to new heights.

Wished we lost the wizards game so we can speed up what clearly going to happen. Matter of when not if.

Point Book can't run this team. His stats are great but the rest of the team has no flow or rhythm. Book needs to be a SG. Problem is the GM has elected to have no semblance of a PG on the roster and if you move Book to SG what do you do with Beal? Quite a predicament.

I always said Booker needed to be a SG and nothing else. I wanted to either start a PG (such as Payne) or put Beal at PG (which is what Shams reported we were planning on doing).djy2j wrote: ↑Tue Dec 19, 2023 10:34 pmPoint Book can't run this team. Problem is there’s not really a pg available for the for the money restriction and assets we have. Still don’t think a pg is our big issue. Right now it’s Vogel. All eyes will be on him after this. Some tough games coming up. Probably make or break for him.
We’re heading to be completely be embarrassed on Christmas. That might be it.

Not sure what else to add.
I can't stand how often we give up wide open 3s and not a single defender even runs out at the shooter. It happens several times a game. What are we doing??
We have 6 or 7 unforced, momentum-murdering turnovers every game. KD had 5 by himself tonight. May as well have just handed the ball to the Blazers.
Also, take a look at the shot chart in the 3rd quarter. It's basically a "how to lose a game in 12 minutes" instruction manual. Then in the 4th we're trying to come back and we're passing up open 3s to dribble into contested mid-rangers. This is what Kevin Young, Offensive Guru has in mind?
The vibes with the old crew were been pretty bad since the Dallas Debacle, but this season is just something else altogether. A mid, lifeless bunch that doesn't know what it's doing on defense and runs a 2002 offense. What a fucking disappointment.
