I would trade KD to Houston, but not for Whitmore and picks…I’d want Jabari Smith Jr or Amen Thompson and picks(3rd overall plus our picks back).

I think the only way the Suns would do it is if they also got a prospect that made the trade interesting from a talent perspective. If it's just KD for a bucket of picks and cap relief, that might be a good trade to us eggheads, but the FO won't be able to spin that as anything other than giving up / rebuilding.

But what would Houston be willing to give us? Probably not any of their most interesting players (like Sengun) because they're trying to win with KD. Maybe Jalen Green, but he's redundant with Booker/Beal and they probably want to keep him since he ended last season so strong.

I think the best we could hope for would be FVV + (young player) + >= 3 1st rounders for KD. In reality Houston probably wants us to take a Boban / Jock Landale / Jeff Green puu puu platter or something.

That’s definitely not the offer…that’s garbage and Houston knows we wouldn’t take that.. Windy says to watch what Houston does at 3, if they take Clingan, Sengun may be available.

There’s no way I’d accept an offer that didn’t have Sengun, Jabari Smith, or Amen Thompson in it. Jalen Green is too similar to Book/Beal to be the focus. Has to be one of those first 3 for me or I’m not even discussing it.

That would be the hope. If they would put forward Sengun plus lots of picks and salary ballast, I would wish for the Suns to take it. They probably wouldn't, but that'd be a great long-term deal.

Suns fans seem to think that we can abruptly toss players aside (Bridges, CP3) and then they'll come crawling back to us, sometimes on low-dollar contracts. That sort of thing is rare and not usually what players do after a team discards them.

Most Suns fans are casual and don't see players as people, just jersey numbers and colors. Bridges was never coming back.

Well to be fair we’ve had a few come back(Dragic, Barbosa, Dudley)…I didn’t really think Bridges would come back, but it was fun to think about. I think he really loved being here and we were going to have cap space…think it’s clear Knicks with his buddies was always going to be his first choice.
