He doesn't draw or orchestrate an offense like CP3 did so Booker is just relegated to spot up guy with Jones and it's pretty apparent that Booker is far better point Booking the offense in large stretches.Ring_Wanted wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:39 amAgreed. Jones needs to handle the ball or else he is questionable as a net positive since you are left with a midget spot up 3pt shooter with a floater and a problem on defense. We were doing much more of Jones as the floor general at the beginning of the season, and it showed good results. Need to get back to that as the next step towards correcting our rotation, after removing Nurkic (also need to start Oso) and playing Beal off the bench.SunsSince92 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 11:55 pmI agree, Tyus just feels like a bit of an afterthought out there. He isn't the floor general I was hoping he'd be and just seems happy to defer to Book and KD which isn't what we need. KD is just a walking turnover and I just don't see Booker as a point guard, he makes too many bone headed plays/passes.

haha I feel you I love to come here when high. And yes, if the comparison is the Point God (or even Rubae, another master at setting up others), then of course Booker's life is not going to be as easy. At the same time, making Booker the pg is not a solution. His handle is just not tight enough and he does not react fast to traps so that's not where he is at his best either.TOO wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 9:08 amTyus lol. He just seems to play better in general when he handles the ball more and creates his own shot with Tyus spotting up. He doesn't move enough off the ball in this offense.

Booker and this team seemed to peak in the bubble when everyone moved all the time.

That bubble team added Chris Paul who then ran the entire show and then they peaked, so I'm not sure this is correct.

I'm mostly just talking shit. Seems like every year we talk about how the offensive system asks too much of Booker, or doesn't give him enough freedom, or something else.

Yep, I think it was our best defense of the season. We were really swarming for a change. I hope they can keep it up and don't wait so long to "turn it on".Split T wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 8:31 amI think it was we actually played tough defense and the Hornets folded like the bad team they are…wish we would have done that from the start.ShelC wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 5:29 amTurned this one off with about 5 minutes left figuring we'd lose so it was a nice surprise that we won. Caught up on the ending and as much as we hit shots it just felt like the Hornets panicked and gave the game away. It's concerning that we seem to have this much trouble with teams like the Jazz and Hornets.

Cleveland, Meh. I’ve moved on to New Jersey, then Detroit, and I’m still behind the times.

Mat Ishbia is the worst thing in the history of things. He is the primordial suck from which all universal suck emerged. He is the anti-Chuck Norris. If those two ever come together they will mutually annihilate in a blast of cosmic energy that destroys the planet, and when humanity is extinct and a field of rubble orbits the Sun where Earth once was, the Suns will somehow lose 50-60 games a year.Kryptonic wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 11:06 pmIsh happens.Cap wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 10:30 pmThe Ishing is across not only all of space, but all of time. You guys have a career in stand up. Real knee slappers. You can call yourselves Cap and the Dead Horse Beaters
It's understood, you hated the KD trade and you have extrapolated from that single trade that Ishbia will never keep any of our picks, despite just showing you that he did and drafted two stud rookies. And we keep our picks every other year, whether it ends up lottery or late first round we still do get a first. But hey who am I to cap (ehhh , ehh) that drain you're circling
