It does look like the Suns have softened their stance on being all in on Book, KD and Jimmy. I think if someone blows them away on a KD deal they will take it and say they couldn’t make it work with Miami for Butler. Then look to move Beal in the off season and retool around Book and whatever they get in the KD trade.
But if that doesn’t happen, I suspect they’ll throw all their assets at getting Butler and hope he can shake things up enough to make a run at it this season.
It will be a fascinating couple of days.
