Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
Wow!!! How hollow became our hopes. Can not watch a single game from now on. Waiting until we blow this shitty team.

At least we know the Mavs aren't.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.

Breaking news out of Phoenix…nothing. Lol.

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
So true! So the Suns and Mavs are now the laughing stock of the NBA - one because their star player got traded away and the other because their star player didn't.
Edit: And who do you think is going to finish the season better and have a better future?

Houston is absolutely salivating over that 2025 unprotected pick of ours even more now. Lucky them.

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
The Suns have to cut a few players cause there's too many guards on this team.
Gotta look at players who will be eventually bought out and waived because this team is too small.

Yea was going to say we may have something brewing in the buyout market. Bojan Bodgonovic? Ben Simmons?

Oh right
Everyone is fuming or disinterested at the moment but some of you are usually sharp with posting potential buyout candidates
I guess as everyone expects us to be losing that solid vets not going to be interested in joining us for the stretch run

Re: 2025 NBA TRADE DEADLINE
They couldn't sign either of them if they were bought out because they can't sign any buyouts who were making more than $12 million (one of the 2nd apron rules)

Can’t. It’s against the second apron rules.

I will also suggest that maybe the FO was doing due diligence talking to teams now to gauge the market and value of guys for more offseason talks. Maybe that's giving everyone too much credit but it does happen and can lead to deals later on.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the KD stuff. They took calls on him, listened to offers but didn't tell him, approached him with some possibilities that he turned down but they would've been OK with even tho they didn't really want to trade him?

Maybe they keep changing the story because they’re just as confused as you are.ShelC wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 2:09 pmI will also suggest that maybe the FO was doing due diligence talking to teams now to gauge the market and value of guys for more offseason talks. Shambolic.
From top to bottom of the organisation and the roster we need a massive reset and restart.
Waste of another season.

I guess I’d be fine moving off of KD if we got some youth and picks. I’m not interested in watching a big three fight to get into the playoffs.
KD for a Jabari Smith package with a bunch of picks would work. Smith and Dunn could be a nice defensive unit. Move off of Allen for a pick too. I doubt KD wants leave either. Where the hell is all our leverage?

Can we just take a second to reiterate how full of shit a lot of these Twitter people were? Particularly fucking Flex from Jersey, who repeatedly posted all his hot air blowing bullshit about trades and how somebody was "coming home" and people talking about Butler and KD and a power forward and who knows what else? These guys don't know shit, they don't have sources. They were dead wrong about the entire trade deadline. Can we please remember that and stop trusting these BS con artists?

Also remember that very legit piece of information is being planted by a team or agent, so is not the whole picture or slanted to a particular point of view. And often journalists doing a favour to sources by drip feeding tenuous information.

I think some of the stuff was true and just didn't get worked out. But yea the rando podcasters/social media guys with "sources" are annoying.

They're all about clicks and visitors and scooping their competitors. It doesn't matter how accurate they are, as long as they're first.Mori Chu wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 3:28 pmCan we just take a second to reiterate how full of shit a lot of these Twitter people were?
