I agree. There are just too many holes in the roster for Book to be successful here. If you could guarantee that the Suns would be able to find those from the ashes of what's left with their assets, then keep him. I just don't think that's even close to realistic though...unfortunately.

Yup…. Hence why I think AD in Dallas with Kyrie could be pretty deadly. I don’t agree on the trade at all from a longevity standpoint but those two have a lot more potential than Luka and kyrie. It’s just a shame DA didn’t work out for us.

Booker is really just a prolific scorer. He's not the centerpiece for a championship contender, he's the second or better yet, third guy. Anyone who thinks he can be a #1 guy is fooling themselves.

And as long as they pair Booker in the backcourt with another defensive sieve like Tyus Jones they aren't getting anywhere.

Ayton's problem is he's happy just collecting a check, smoking pot and playing video games. He's certainly not the only player in the league that thinks that way, but you can't depend on him because he has zero motor.

I think there are a lot of casual fans out there who overestimate his abilities, but I think most everybody here doesn't buy into "Point Book".

Jerry Colangelo was very good about not falling in love with his players. Only three long-time Suns finished their careers here - Dick Van Arsdale, Alvan Adams and Kevin Johnson. Hey traded Connie Hawkins, Paul Silas, Paul Westphal, Charlie Scott, Dennis Johnson, Truck Robinson and Larry Nance.

There's going to be a time to trade Durant and Booker, and they have to be willing to pull the trigger when that time comes.

It almost feels as though his prime was a couple of years ago and he's plateaued since. I wouldn't say he's in decline but I'm not optimistic that he'll get any better now. We've probably seen his peak.

I will also give Jeremy his flowers. As frustrating as Ayton is, the trade didn't work out. We'd be better off having kept Ayton and Camara. Of course, we'd also have been a much better team if we hadn't made the Durant and Beal trades. A diminished Chris Paul would have been much better for this team. Just from a leadership perspective alone.

Ishbia swung for the fences and popped out on a weak fly behind the plate. Let's see how he recovers...or not. I'm not sure how you can watch this team and think Durant is the answer. Are we really going to re-sign him to another contract?

And due to the Paul for Beal trade, we are stuck with Beal for two more full seasons if he chooses. Smart man getting that NTC. Only him and LeBron have that assurance in the entire NBA.

I still remember how great Ayton and Bridges were doing and the team was gelling the last week or two before we traded for KD. It’s sad.
