I do like Cam and Claxton…but it is a pretty small team. You need a big 4 next to them. You also now don’t really have a great 2nd option and not a great avenue to getting one. Is Gillespie/Booker/CamJ/Dunn/Claxton going to do anything? You’d need to find a way to move Grayson and/or Royce for a 4(preferably a playmaking 4). Even then, you are probably just a play-in team.

You know what? After last season, I don't even care if we make the playoffs. I just want a hardworking team that is fun to watch and I can be proud of. Let's start there.

Multiple posts about that hypothetical Nets 4-team trade mention Cam Johnson. Doesn't the "CJ" in the trade refer to CJ McCollum? Not Cam Johnson? In which case, HARD PASS? We don't need another diminutive guard next to Book and Beal.

i misinterpreted CJ as CamJ but McCollum makes sense in that deal. Even so, pass on that. He's better than Beal but doesn't help us regardless.

Hmm, I guess it could mean CJ McCollum, but I think it’s Cam. Brooklyn can’t take Giannis and KD and only give up Claxton. Also NOP aren’t even taking any salary back in the trade(none listed at least), so it doesn’t make sense for them to lose Zion and CJ.

Guys, it's CJ McCollum intended in the tweet deal. Nobody calls Cam Johnson "CJ." I mean, look at the Nets Reddit. I can find one post where they Cam Johnson "CJ," but it certainly doesn't look like a common nickname. Also, do the salaries even work in that trade if it's Cam?

What about Detroit for KD? You’d have to take Harris back, but then I’d want Ausar Thompson as my big piece coming back. Probably either Ivey or Sasser too.

Would KD go there? Cade/KD/Duren is nice. Could bring back THJ/Beasley/Schroeder and hope Holland develops. That’s pretty good.

That’s fair…I didn’t have a strong opinion on what else from Detroit…you’d certainly try to get some picks as well. Ausar would be my main target.

Not enough talent on Detroit to take back in a KD trade outside of Cade and Duren. Ausar has some upside but he's on par with Dunn IMO. I could be wrong but I don't see Holland as anything special down the line.
