I think in the long run it's the best thing for the Suns and it would be the best thing for Booker if he wants to win.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
The problem is it does us no good to be bad. We don’t have control over any of our picks until 2032 and multiple teams have control over them. So there’s no rush to blow it up. It doesn’t hurt to retool instead of rebuild. Booker isn’t going to lose value over the next couple years.
There’s a small window now where we could try and get 26 and 27 control back to do a quick tank and rebuild, but that’s not much of a window.
You could prioritize young established talent for Booker in a trade, but if you are trading for a bunch of picks, they are likely not great picks. You’d have to get real creative to get back say 26-29 picks. And that’s 4 different teams at minimum you have to consider. Just doesn’t seem very easy.

At least we aren't selling draft picks yet. Hooray?
Love, Hurts.

Only if we trade Book to Houston, which would get us our picks back. Otherwise we'll just stink for no reason. The Bobster wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 11:51 amI think in the long run it's the best thing for the Suns and it would be the best thing for Booker if he wants to win.

I think Chuck is on Ozempic or one of those type of drugs. This article (though now out of date) says he has lost 60+ lbs.

OK, cool. I'm glad I did it the old fashioned way but whatever works for folks. The problem with those drugs is now you have to stay on them for life to not rebound. (No pun intended towards Sir Charles.)Mori Chu wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 1:37 pmI think Chuck is on Ozempic or one of those type of drugs. I find those drugs quite fascinating. They seem to be a rare case where a drug has a bunch of unintended POSITIVE side effects on the people who take them. All sorts of health problems seem to melt away. Hope they'll continue to study it and learn more.

My wife takes one of them and it has helped with a few issues.

So apparently Beal would have to eat $31 million in order to be bought out. Why the hell would he even consider that?

I say keep him but just send him home sort of like they did with Crowder (I think that's who it was that never suited up until we traded him). The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 12:40 pmhttps://clutchpoints.com/nba/phoenix-su ... VU5RBi8SwQ

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
That $31M figure is only if we want to stretch him and hurt our cap for 5 years. Just give him all his money and let him be a free agent.
You can’t just tell a player to not play basketball for two years. I’m sure the NBPA would have something to say about that.

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
What could he sign for in free agency. I think someone would give him 2/20. That means he’s really only giving up 11 million. But as Jeremy said, that’s only if we plan to stretch the contract. We can buy him out and just eat the deal over 2 years. The Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Jun 14, 2025 12:40 pmhttps://clutchpoints.com/nba/phoenix-su ... VU5RBi8SwQ

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Also am I the only one that would kinda enjoy Westbrook signing here? Feel like we could use someone who plays as hard as him.
