I’d rather just run it back with KD than to take a bs trade. Just get off 54 million completely or sign and trade him in the offseason then to take bottom of the barrel offers. Probably in the minority but just how I feel. Trade Grayson for size and run it back again. I’d much rather do that than to see Jalen Green here.
I don’t want Jalen Green here, but I don’t think he’s some albatross contract and useless player. I think we can move him elsewhere and I think there’s also a chance to develop him. I don’t care about winning next year, so I don’t think being stuck with him is all that bad. Though it does get weird if you have Green, Beal, and Booker…not to mention Grayson.
But my focus would be on Jabari and #10. I’d be happy to get those 2 as I think they are real assets. Ya I would love another asset to make up for Green, but I see why teams aren’t willing to throw in more for a 37 year old KD.
I don’t like the idea of running it back with KD…now if the offer is Green/Jock/10, I’d run it back…but I’m taking that deal if it’s Jabari.
If KD stays healthy until the trade deadline and is playing at just as high a level as he did this season, his value could actually be higher in February. Especially if teams get desperate for that one missing piece.
Of course there’s the risk involved there that he gets injured or starts dropping off. So it would be best to trade him this summer if you can get a decent offer.

I don't buy it. We won't get more value for half a season of a 37 yr old. If they are gonna move him, it has to be now imo.
I need two pieces for the future. Legit pieces. Jabari and the 10 is fine. So is Vassel/Sochan/pick, or Ware and a pick.
I don't care about the salary filler than comes in, none fo
It is going to matter for the next great Suns team anyway. I want pieces that will be helpful in 2-3 years..

You have to figure the fillers are throw away players. If any of them stay here long enough to contribute, that's a bonus.
The Suns need to come away with at least two starters in this trade - even if one of those is a draft choice.

Yup... Kick rocks, thin skinned reaper. You put up great numbers for yourself but elevated NO ONE. Him trying to still finagle his way to a team of HIS choosing just proves further how selfish that douchebag is.
I wouldn't do the Minnesota trade. Short term, Gobert is the best player coming back. Long term, there is a lot of pressure for Dillingham to develop. You can't say you traded KD for 1 pick and 2 years of Gobert. Plus, you know the Suns would use the #10 on Jase Richardson, another undersized guard. A Booker, Dillingham, Richardson backcourt would not be ideal.
But if the Suns want to be good again, they have to do it by building assets in the form of good players and draft picks. That means taking some risks with players who have upside.
I like the Toronto deal with Barrett better because I think that gives us 3 good assets instead of the 2 assets coming back from Min.

I know we apparently don’t like Wiggins and Ware, but Miami might be the team that has the best combination of willingness to offer something and KD willing to play there.
I think Wiggins/Ware/Robinson/20 is fair. It’s nothing special…I’d push for a 2nd pick or Jovic, but it’s better than what Houston/SA are offering.
