I don't think the best players on his team in Sacramento (Fox, Sabonis) hated him and I never recall anything like that when he as on Kerr's bench.

That's the past decade.

Fox couldnt wait to get away from because Brown throws his players under the bus

That's not how I interpreted it.
I'm just going off local kings fans.

Would you have the same confidence in local Suns fans?

I know the Kings fans and. I watch them fairly regularly, so I don't know if I'm really painting broad strokes here lol

Fair enough. Doesn't make much sense from the Fox end based on his quotes and actions.

Maybe it was a play by him to get to SA in the long run? But that wouldn't necessarily imply he hated Mike Brown.

What does Mike Brown do especially well as a coach?

I'm not a Mike Brown fan, which stems from him being critical of the 7SOL offense while he was with Cleveland. I think he's pompous and can act like an ass at times when he's in front of the cameras. It's easy to look good when you're coaching LeBron, Kobe and sitting on the bench next to Kerr with Curry, Klay and Draymond on the court. He lifted up the Kings who were dysfunctional but they had talent before he got there. And even then, he flamed out in about 2 seasons.

I don't doubt his Xs and Os but I have read he rubs his players the wrong way. But even with his hiring, the Knicks are looking for an offensive coordinator like Borrego. I don't think he's better than Thibs, just different. Maybe that's what the Knicks need but coming off an ECF appearance, Brown better be ready for those expectations.

From my perspective, Mike Brown saved the Kings front office from themselves for two seasons. DeRozan was obviously a difficult fit but it's unclear who made that decision.

I'm sure he knows the Knicks expect at least the ECF and I think they have a very good chance of getting back next season.

I always liked Landale. Hard worker and good dude. But unless we trade Richards, we have no room for him.

I’m not sure we have much room for him even if we trade Richards. If he’s fine being a 3rd string C I would take him. He’d be decent as insurance for when Williams is hurt.

Denver may have a spot open for Jock now if JV leaves.

Denver just traded Dario Saric to get Jonas V, right? I wonder if they'd be frustrated if he just immediately bails on the NBA. Or maybe it was a salary dump trade for them anyway? I would have assumed that they wanted Jonas V behind Jokic as their primary backup center.

They added salary with Jonas so they definitely wanted him…but if they buy him out now, he may give back his entire contract and it actually saves Denver a lot of money and opens up some MLE space for them.

No trades can happen during the moratorium, so they could just cancel the trade if they wanted to, since it hasn’t been finalized yet.

Ya they could…but it sounds like they plan to move forward with it and Denver will try to convince Jonas to stay.
