Here is an outside perspective from a neutral observer:

Sam Quinn should be on permanent ignore based on this statement: "...Devin Booker as the highest paid player in NBA history for his age-32 and 33 seasons."

Devin Booker will not be the highest paid player in NBA history in 5 years. Lots of other players will have received contracts that will eclipse Booker's by then.
If he is earning 35% of the cap in his age-32 season, then there will be nobody eclipsing that in that season. Perhaps someone will earn more the next season.
Your math doesn't math bro.

I love that Ott is already sending him videos and breakdowns of what he wants to do and work on. Suns are gonna surprise next year.

I also like how both Green and Brooks think they’re going to make the playoffs. Nobody outside of Phoenix thinks it’s possible but I hope they’re right. Nobody matter what, they’re going to be a much more fun team to root for than what we had last season.

Brooks saying this is an opportunity for him scares me a bit…I hope he doesn’t revert back to Memphis Brooks who thought he was Kobe

I think Brooks is going to be a Raja Bell/Danny Ainge for us. One of those guys you hate when he's on other teams but love on your team. As long as his shot selection stays under control.

Dillon Brooks knows what he brings and that Suns need it
By Kellan Olson
https://arizonasports.com/nba/phoenix-s ... s/3589971/
LAS VEGAS — You might think Dillon Brooks is at times out of control and reckless when he’s on the basketball court, something diehard Valley basketball fans will remember about him dating back to his collegiate days for Oregon in the Pac-12.

Maybe that is up for debate, but the newest Phoenix Sun knows exactly what he’s doing out there, at least when it comes to the affect it has on his own team.
“No [expletive],” he said Friday of what he brings. “I don’t back down from anybody or anything. Everybody, to me, is the same. I can’t wait to get a technical foul at PHX (Arena) and for them to go crazy. I can’t wait to bring my toughness and my grit all-around and I hope it’s contagious for the team.”

I will. I hated him but this team needed him badly last season. Someone who shows signs of life on the court is a breath of fresh air

bkref has the 25-26 pages up, so it's a bit easier to see the big picture of our contract situation. They are missing the latest news on Fleming and Booker's contracts, though.

Suns Contracts

I had completely forgotten that we still have Nas Little and EJ Liddell on the books for just under 4 million.

Yeah, come on Big O, it's not the tech we'd be rooting for but for the tenacity and somebody that gives a shit. Brooks is definitely NOT unbothered.

"I don't want to be overdramatic, but it was like a death in the family" - Charles Barkley's honest response after the Suns let go of Dan Majerle
Barkley was devastated to see Majerle being traded by the Phoenix Suns.

Ryan Dunn shows signs of even more offensive growth for Suns in Vegas
by Kellan Olson

https://arizonasports.com/nba/phoenix-s ... r/3581558/
Second-year forward Ryan Dunn is looking to maintain his tremendous offensive growth from his collegiate career to Year 1 in the NBA, a jump that is easy to lose sight of if you focus simply on the raw numbers of Dunn averaging 6.9 points per game or his 3-point shooting percentage still checking in at a must-get-better 31.1%. With the All-Defense type of potential he has as a defender, a passable set of contributions offensively would certify himself as a starting-caliber NBA wing. He looks on his way to getting there.

Dunn will enter this year with a more defined role, and with that comes the chance for him to expand his game even more. In watching his summer league debut on Friday, it is clear he is taking the work seriously enough to take advantage of that upcoming opportunity.

Three months is not much time to make tangible strides as a player but Dunn did his damndest to make that possible in the offseason he got.

In saying that it’s ~just summer league~, Dunn’s ball-handling was much better, something that has just as much to do with the handle being tighter as it does that he’s confident enough to use it. All he was trying to do was get to the rim.

On top of that, Dunn changed his jumper, with an intent “to shoot it with a bit more power,” a new release you’ll notice if you watched him last season. Little tweaks will have to continue with it and it’s good to see he’s open to doing so.
