2025 Suns Offeason News
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I guess I’d be okay with a Kuminga deal, so long as it’s no more than a combination of Allen/O’Neale/Richards and we’re not paying him 30 million annually. I’ve seen some Suns fans on Twitter and Reddit willingly including Dunn, and I want absolutely no part of that.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Id be shocked and furious if they included Dunn in any Kumbucket deal. Dunn is going to be the face of the defense in the coming years. No thanks.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I don’t like including oso at all
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Can't do Oso and Richards, also Oso is the kind of guy who goes to a place like Golden St and just blows up.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
I think that is needlessly dismissive. If you don't think Book is a franchise player, I don't think it is unreasonable to be bothered by the extension and to voice your frustration.
I like Book, so I am fine with it.

I was thinking of Rubio too. It's a good comp, although Giddey is better scoring/shooting threat. I don't get this narrative that acts like Booker is just a spot-up shooter if you put him next to a point guard. Booker still had the ball in his hands plenty, still scored off the bounce, and still played at a high level. Book got on the map with his play in the bubble, and he managed to do that playing next to a non-elite point guard.virtual9mm wrote: ↑Mon Jul 21, 2025 12:09 amBTW, I am on board with Giddey. A taller, more athletic Ricky Rubio is how he's being described on another board.

Nope not serious. I was referencing numbers in regards to his size as a 4.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
You're retconning that playoff series. Cam Payne upped the tempo, and even the possessions where Payne went off ball, it made/makes a difference having a legitimate point guard next to Book, instead playing as your only/best ballhandler.
Like I really don't get any of this. The Lakers tried the Kobe/Eddie Jones backcourt for like six games and figured out it was better to just let Kobe play next to a point guard. There wasn't any "Kobe is a better PG than Derek Fisher" nonsense.
I can't recall reading "Jordan is a better point guard than BJ Armstrong or Ron Harper."
It's wild we are 10 seasons into his career and this is still a thing. Ryan must be smiling somewhere.
Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News
Cason is a better ballhandler and has shown more ability to run an offense and set others up. Melton really is an undersized shooting guard. He can D up point guards, and you can get away with him bringing the ball up, but there isn't much there after that.

People have compared Darius Garland's play to Steve Nash's style, but sure yeah he isn't a PG.

Low $20M range. Allen, Oneal, Richards combo and junk.
