Game Day: Blazers (2-2) @ Suns (0-4), Wed 11/2/16

Ironically, we took Len 5th and Booker and Warren at 13 and 14, respectively. But I do agree. Late lottery is usually the worst.

I've heard this argument a lot--it would be really interesting to specifically look at the next 5 games after Len has a good game to see how much truth there is to this. I think that his production does cycle, but I think it is a longer cycle than you make it out to be--I feel like he usually has a string of pretty good games over the course of a week or two before struggling with his confidence over the next month.UglyTruth wrote:That means Len will garbage for the next 5-6 games. One good game every 5-6 is his style.Superbone wrote:Who was it that wanted to trade Len for that tall white girl on the Blazers? That being said, I dont know if I have the energy to actually pay attention to that (grad school is tough.

P.S. Im grateful for the win. It always sucks being one of the last teams in the NBA to get a W.

Len had a great game but, Chandler not getting any love for what was it, 18 boards?
In four years, you don’t have to vote again. We’ll have it fixed so good, you’re not gonna have to vote.

I absolutely agree--4th in the league in rebounds (averaging 12.5+ per game). I think people were hoping for more offense out of him (and, to be fair, his blocks per game are much lower than his career average), but I think that he has done more than enough as a rebounder and as a vocal defender to justify some appreciation.
Side note--Alex Len is averaging almost 1.5 blocks per game--small sample size, but still impressive, especially with how much people were angry that he wasn't blocking as much last year.

That would be me. A big like Meyers would help opening lines for our drivers, and gal can make a pass too.Superbone wrote:Who was it that wanted to trade Len for that tall white girl on the Blazers? Len came up big tonight with 18 points, 6 boards, and 3 blocks in only 21 minutes.

C'mon, fellas. We all know he's really a boy. A boy named Leonard Meyers.

Glad Bledsoe got the game winner. Another nice game by Chriss also.
I'll Give Len and Chandler a shout out for not being terrible. I guess Len's shot mechanics have changed hence all the goofy air balls. He's aggressive at least.
PJ Tucker. Ugh. Missed the 2nd FT and had the defensive lapse to let the beautiful Myers Leonard score at the buzzer. Why is it insisted he play meaningful minutes? Unless there is an All-Star SF on the other team he shouldn't be out there in the clutch.

I read where he feels healthier than he's been since coming to the Suns.Superbone wrote:Nobody mentioned Knight's monster dunk.
Cool.
Now let's see some 50% shooting games, 6-8 assists and 3-4 steals.
Then I'll sit up and take notice ...
Well, so much for hopes and dreams ...
