Wouldn't be surprised to see the Suns target this:
Atlanta has a $25.3 million Traded Player Exception that will expire on July 7. That exception was created in the Dejounte Murray trade last offseason.
Because they are so far below the tax and the aprons, the Hawks are in good position to use that exception to take on money in a potential trade.

Sometimes I’m convinced this is just a bit.
Also your much more efficient offensively statement is just not true.
Amare TS%/TS+/USG during his prime:
.617/117/28.3
.637/118/25.8
.656/122/28.2
.617/113/24.2
.615/113/27.3
.606/113/26.2(Suns career)
Here’s Ayton:
.608/109/21.2
.568/101/23.7
.653/114/18.2
.656/116/21.4
.617/106/22.9
.622/109/22.3(Suns career)
Not to mention Ayton should be in his prime now and he’s getting worse:
.587/101/20.4(Portland Career)
Not only did Amare basically have the same peak in raw TS%, he did it in an era that was much less efficient and he did it on a much higher usage rate. I’m sorry, but there’s zero argument for Ayton offensively over Amare.
By the way, Amare made 4 All-NBA teams(1 1st, 3 2nd) and received MVP votes in 4 different years.
Based on your reasoning though, I’m shocked you aren’t the biggest Tyson Chandler fan…he was more efficient than both, a better rebounder than both, and a better defender than both. He should check all your boxes.
We don’t know what Ayton would have done with Nash.
But it’s not just about Ayton. I never liked Amare when he was here. And I was ecstatic when we got Tyson Chandler, it’s just too bad he was past his prime by the time we finally got him.
He had Chris Paul
Come on, you know there was never a Suns player who was better at getting his teammates easy looks and elevating players than Steve Nash.
Chris Paul took the Suns to the best season they ever had. Next.
Yes.
AND Anyone who talks about Amare better show some respect for having some of the greatest hands and being the best finisher in his peak next to Kobe.

They seem like the kind of team that would value Green or Brooks.

Wow, what is Portland up to? Maybe we could send Green there.

They loved him so much in his 4 days as a Blazer, that they just had to bring him back?

Pretty good barometer for how the league values high salary scoring guards who can't do much else.

I wish we had Simons instead of Green…the only thing Green does better is stay healthy it seems

Ehhhh... I don't think Simons is anything special, both guys should have played in the NCAA. I'll take Green just on age alone.

This would seem to me like a signal that Boston's going to spend a season (at least) loading back up and retooling while Tatum is out. They must feel like they can't be a serious contender next year.
It wouldn't surprise me if Al Horford is also gone - he's a UFA and I would imagine that they'll let him walk, if he doesn't retire.

Ya Boston is definitely gonna take the year off…maybe get a lotto pick, reset their apron/luxury tax clock, and try again in 26-27 when Tatum is healthy

He’s not special…I just think he’s better than green. I think Simons is a pretty good shooter. He’s a bench guard though because he doesn’t defend or pass.
I am starting to get intrigued to see Green in a different role though. He hasn’t been a good nba player, but he is young. He could still become one.

There are a few underutilized players I’d love to poach from other teams - one that comes to mind is Jarace Walker.
I also saw someone propose a Grayson for Obi trade which I think could benefit both teams.

OKC apparently wants to package picks and move up. I'd be interested in Jaylin Williams, Kenrich Williams or even Aaron Wiggins to move back a bit.

I would LOVE to get Obi for Grayson.

We’ll probably do it for Wiggins to add to our SG collection haha.
I think OKC mainly just wants to consolidate picks. They already have too many players and 4 draft picks. They can’t make them all. League needs to stick together and make OKC pay a high price.
