What about a look at Kendrick Nunn?
Another small 2-guard. We have enough of those.

I think we need another veteran point guard. Wouldn't want to have to rely on Beal, Book and Payne heading into the season. Kendrick Nunn played under Vogel in LA? Goran, Ish Smith, Ty Jerome, George Hill is kinda cooked...
I'd be all for Ty Jerome.

a. If nothing else, Dragic would give you the ability to throw different looks on the floor and I think would be more effective than Payne.
b. I almost hate to say this, but Westbrook...might make some sense? Vogel I guess might preclude that, but...
c. I still feel like we don't have a strong defensive big. Not bringing back Biyombo to me makes that worse, though he didn't seem as effective last year, though I sometimes wonder if that was Monte's issue with minutes. Thoughts?

I can't believe how much Orland gave him. He should be a vet minimum guy at this point in his career.
Agreed. There's some crazy money being thrown around at the moment!

I've said before that I would be up for bringing Westbrook in. I'm not sure I'd want him starting so it's whether he'd be willing to come off the bench like he did for the Lakers.

Alright, get your guesses in, who’s the first guy we sign today? First guy we sign not on the team last year?

I’ll say Troy Brown Jr is the first player we sign.
This one’s easy. No one. ;)
No one eh? I felt the same way. I was pleasantly surprised myself.

Michael Pina at The Ringer hates the Suns day one:
Phoenix spent the first few hours of free agency locking itself into the most top-heavy, least flexible roster in basketball. By definition, this is technically a “team,” but that doesn’t really feel like the right label…

… Damion Lee, Keita Bates-Diop, Drew Eubanks, Chimezie Metu, Josh Okogie, Yuta Watanabe, Jordan Goodwin, Ish Wainright, and Isaiah Todd. Bates-Diop, Eubanks, Metu, and Watanabe were signed immediately, even though there’s a good chance no other teams were willing to take them off the board. It’s still unclear who the fifth starter will be. Cam Payne is the only point guard on the roster. Everyone else is either a specialist who can be exposed in the playoffs or someone who has never been good enough to crack a playoff rotation.

It’s somehow hard to be excited about a team that has Durant, Booker, and Beal on it. But here we are.
FWIW, I think KBD, Eubanks and Yuta all would have had multiple offers on the open market, especially at vet minimum. (Metu probably not so much). I think from an absolute pessimist’s point of view, I could see what he’s saying. But it’s way overblown. Considering the restraints they’re under the Suns did pretty well.

Perhaps the PG we’re waiting for is Kyle Lowry.
He is so washed.
I haven't watched all games, but from what I've seen, he looked at least decent in the finals.

He’s an idiot…what did he expect us to do with only vet min deals to offer? And who cares if we signed them quick if we signed them to the vet min…His logic makes zero sense and I don't think he actually knows much about basketball. He probably would've liked our FA if we got someone like Derrick Rose.

I meant no one is allowed to actually sign until July 6.

Haha, I really wouldn't be averse to that, but it feels like our priority should be another PG.
