I don't like tying finals home court for the NBA. I don't hate it for the MLB, where home court advantage is marginal at best. In the NBA, however, home court advantage is real. Tying that to an event that has nothing to do with the actual teams that will be playing in the finals doesn't make sense ...

Sounds like they could benefit from a Hall of Fame veteran presence. Those types don't come cheap though. I hope for their sake they are able to part with their young talent and/or picks. This type of player will be in demand and hard to get!

Yeah it's been dead a ling time. I'd rather it not existed. To get it back to what it was, the players have to care, and they don't.

Giannis forces trade to Suns. Suns -> Giannis, Houston -> KD, MIL -> picks and young talent.

Not at all. Beal at least has a chance to be a net positive. With a new coach and no KD to defer to, Beal might play better and be useful.

I still think there is a path to making this team more competitive. Blowing up the team and starting over (with or without getting our picks back) is not the only answer, nor the right one in my opinion. Wholesale changes, sure; that's on the table.

I suppose we don't really know when Jones' contract actually expires; maybe it's still active until June 30th or something. It does seem weird, though, to announce that all 3 of them would be at the presser if Ish was planning a near term change. I know lots of fans are calling for Jones' head, but ...
