Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

I'm not advocating for the Minnesota trade, but I've honestly always been surprised why Gobert was not involved more offensively in the NBA. If you watch the French team, especially prior to Wemby's arrival, Gobert is much more aggressive offensively and he's not bad. And it's not like the French ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

I like the Raptors offer. I think I'd take RJ over Quickley. I think if you can get Beal to embrace a pass-first PG role, that could work? I also like the T-Wolves offer. I tell the Spurs and Rockets that if you're not at the table with either the #2 (or Castle) or our picks, respectively, we don't ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

For as great as I think KD is, he is a bit of a ball-stopper for us. I don't know if the blame falls on him, or on the coaching staff, or some combination of that. Not having true point guard played a huge roll there.

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

It sounds like the problem is that they are letting Durant dictate his destination once again. This is one time when utilizing KD and some back channel communication could work out really well for us. You really want to play for SA? Make that clear that if it's between trading Castle or the #2 pick ...

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

I'm mentally preparing myself for a Spurs deal to be Sochan/Vassell/Keldon Johnson and pick #14 for KD. Or swap Barnes' expiring with Keldon Johnson. Honestly, if the Spurs are really this close to a deal, I hold out for the #2 pick... because I think, at the end of the day, if you have a chance to ...

Re: 2025 Suns Offeason News

Hypothetically, could a team buy out a player for the full value of the remaining contract just to clear the cap space?

For instance, if Ishbia said, "Here's $111 million" and Beal accepts, that would definitely get us under the 2nd apron... or is that circumventing the cap rules?

Re: 2025 NBA Offseason News

That's crazy by the Knicks. But it does make me think they would be open to a KD trade. Too bad they don't have much in the way of draft picks.

Re: The Josh Bartlestein Problem

Honestly, he needs to lose his job if this is true. Forget the affair, this is a person in power having an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate. It's news because it's Sophie, but I don't care if it was some person in concessions.

Would you guys do this?

Probably not. But depending on the picks and I'd probably need Herb Jones too, maybe I could be talked into it.

Yeah, the Pacers are for sure fun to watch. I wonder if Giannis says he wants out this off season, I suppose I would at least ask if Milwaukee would be interested in a KD Giannis swap.

A couple of back end roster moves I'd like to see is bringing in Oscar Tshiebwe (great culture guy, rebounder, tough) and Jaylen Nowell.
I go to a bunch of Salt Lake Stars games and I would love for the Suns to get Tschiebwe. He's a baller.

Re: Mike Budenholzer Fired

I didn't think Cassell was a "villain" during his time in Phoenix, just a young player that wasn't as good when he didn't have Olajuwon on his team. And I won't even put him in the same breath as Horry. He's been a very successful assistant.

Re: Phoenix Suns 2025-2026 Coaching Search

I think CP3 is going to play a couple more years. But I do like him as a candidate if he decides to retire.

My first choice would be Ty Lue if there was any way to pry him from the clippers. I also like Sam Cassell as a candidate. I think I would also put Mike Malone on the interview list.

I saw an article suggesting several options. One was Sam Cassel? Just say NO!
I think he would be a good coach. Send highly regarded as an assistant, despite his time as a Sun, he was a smart player. I would have him high on my list.

Players have too much power.
Do you think Jokic had him fired? Because he's the only one on that roster with that sort of pull.

Re: The Kevin Durant Problem

Why is that the only reason? I’d gladly take 2 picks, Eason, and Smith. My reason for going with Houston is they have an abundance of picks and young players. Houston isn’t giving us all 3 and I really don’t think another team can match a Houston offer. I just don’t like anything they have to offer, ...

I didn't like to wish for people to lose their jobs, but the entire coaching staff really has to go. For the players to check out like this is really inexcusable.
