I still think there is talent there that can be developed, I wouldn't blame the front office if they moved on though. I think we need to choose between Bender and Chriss and I see why someone would choose Bender.

The easiest call on the board: Phoenix acquiring a point guard, either in free agency (Fred VanVleet is a name to watch) or via trade. The problem for Phoenix is that most of its young players are either untouchable (Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton), somewhere approaching that (Josh Jackson), a little unknowable in terms of NBA-level ability (Mikal Bridges), or hold little trade value (Dragan Bender, Marquese Chriss) Chriss was available on draft night, per league sources.

I think he needs some serious coaching, not by Watson, and not by even bigger joke of a coach Corbin. But he actually had some game changing plays last year. I see him as a defensive stalwart, he's shown the ability, just needs to be taught team positioning. He also has a decent stroke when he shoots in rhythm, he even shows potential of developing a few low post moves. In essence I think he can develop into a 3-D guy at the 4 position. He's young and I don't think he's had any proper tutelage at any level yet.

Jackson is 7/11 from 3. His shot sometimes looks weird, but when it doesn't, it goes in. Release seems quick as well.
