Lol I was probably one of them. Glad to be wrong.Indy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:54 pmLike half of us had it as a D or F.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:30 pmDidn’t he give last year’s draft a F? Looking back, I think we can call that one a solid B.Indy wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:24 pmlast time he gave a huge F, it should have been even bigger. And nearly everyone here at the time called him nuts and a pessimist.Wally_West wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 8:19 pmWill the Suns get a F from INF?![]()
Jalen Smith was a guy he liked I believe.

Tyrell Terry going to Dallas. He would have been nice to grab as well.

Informer doing Informer things. What's new.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

Yeah, pretty sure that's on a plaque in his office.

Synchronicity and all that jazz, man.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
You are the one asserting that Cam Johnson was potentially essential for some grand plan. I'm just pointing out I don't see the fruits of a plan that justifies not trying to get the best player.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Dallas drafts Tyrell Terry and trades Seth Curry to Philly for Josh Richardson and #36
Curry is who Philly needs next to Simmons

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
There is no way Jones' plan last year was the miss the playoffs. So he did everything he could to make them, including taking a bland pick that probably wouldn't disappoint. He didn't achieve his goals, so saying Cam was part of a grand plan, and that plan didn't pan out, seems blindly optimistic.
And this is coming from someone that is very happy Cam is a better fit than most of us expected.

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
You disagree that his MO is basically this? He takes the "safe average player" over the "might be great, but could be Bender/Chriss"
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
I’d still go get a 2nd. Tre Jones and Grant Riller still available. Sam Merril
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
That one hurts a bit. All for Ty Jerome
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Tre Jones would be a tremendous understudy to Paul.
But the Suns aren't getting another pick. Would have been great to trade back and pick up a high second rounder, but Smith at 10 was solid.
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
And the Spurs just took Tre Jones
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
OF COURSE THEY DID.

Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
Any love for Grant Riler or Markus Howard?
Re: NBA DRAFT NIGHT 2020
At this point in the draft, both are great value.
Markus Howard would be great on Dallas or Philly.
