Will the Suns get a F from INF? ;)

Jalen Smith was a guy he liked I believe.
last time he gave a huge F, it should have been even bigger. And nearly everyone here at the time called him nuts and a pessimist.
Didn’t he give last year’s draft a F? Looking back, I think we can call that one a solid B.
Like half of us had it as a D or F.

Lol I was probably one of them. Glad to be wrong.

Tyrell Terry going to Dallas. He would have been nice to grab as well.

Let the dust settle. Everybody loves Cam Johnson now.
But I don't think he was the best player available at 11.
He might have been for this team and their plans.
Their plans to be under .500?
Give me a break. And which player exactly would they have drafted that would have put them over .500?
Informer doing Informer things. What's new.
What is smallball? I play basketball. I'm not a regular big man. I can switch from the center to the guards. The game is evolving. I'd be dominAyton if the WNBA would let me in. - Ayton

This is why you don't give up assets to trade a player you can just stretch.
In James Jones we trust

But I think Jones has proven he prefers likely mediocrity over possible greatness.
Yeah, pretty sure that's on a plaque in his office.

You are the one asserting that Cam Johnson was potentially essential for some grand plan. I'm just pointing out I don't see the fruits of a plan that justifies not trying to get the best player.

Dallas drafts Tyrell Terry and trades Seth Curry to Philly for Josh Richardson and #36

Curry is who Philly needs next to Simmons

There is no way Jones' plan last year was the miss the playoffs. So he did everything he could to make them, including taking a bland pick that probably wouldn't disappoint. He didn't achieve his goals, so saying Cam was part of a grand plan, and that plan didn't pan out, seems blindly optimistic.

And this is coming from someone that is very happy Cam is a better fit than most of us expected.

You disagree that his MO is basically this? He takes the "safe average player" over the "might be great, but could be Bender/Chriss"

I’d still go get a 2nd. Tre Jones and Grant Riller still available. Sam Merril

Tre Jones would be a tremendous understudy to Paul.

But the Suns aren't getting another pick. Would have been great to trade back and pick up a high second rounder, but Smith at 10 was solid.

At this point in the draft, both are great value.

Markus Howard would be great on Dallas or Philly.
